While writing up tasting notes for this site, I realized that even though I've broken down the wines into their varietals and some of the more common blends, there are still a number of them mostly from the New World that defy the conventional blending rules. This is where you'll find the outlaws, the wacky and the downright odd. Some are made because the winemaker is trying to make a low cost table wine, others because they had extra lots of various barrels and they wanted to see what they could come up with. Some are just made from rare varietals that don't really warrent their own page..yet. I'll try to let you know what the exact blend is in the review, if it's available. The nice thing about these types of wine is that they generally deliver good "Bang for the Buck."
